- I started working at Queensite software company as an English teacher and Scrum Master.
- The team consisted of 6 back-end developers, four front-end developers, 2 UI/UX designers, a Business Analyst, a DevOps engineer, 3 QA Engineers, and a CTO.
- I had the following responsibilities:
- Managing the backlogs with the CTO and adding them to Jira.
- Planning the Sprint: I used the T-shirt Sizing method to weigh the tasks. The objective of the Sprint used to be written by me. Also, I was supposed to help the team to prioritize the user stories. I helped the team to break the user stories into tangible tasks.
- For the planning, I took advantage of Miro.
- Refinement Session: I managed the refinement meetings as needed. On the first Wednesday of the Sprint, I held the refinement session if necessary.
- Retrospective Meetings:I handled the Retro meetings after each Demo Meeting at the end of the Sprint.
- Daily Stand up: every day at 10 am, we had a daily. Before the daily, I checked Jira to see if any tasks were behind schedule.
- One-on-one meetings: whenever there was an issue, I called the individual team members first to check if everything went well with them, second to check if there were any barriers, then to have a small talk with them to figure out if they had any pet peeves.
- English Classes: every Tuesday, I had a free discussion class with them during which I taught them business-related issues, like how to write better user stories, how to write business emails, how to write comments on Jira for the issues, and how to talk about their role and job-related issues.
- Writing user stories, Product Backlog Items, and Product Requirement Documents (PRD). Confluence is the tool I use to keep and prepare product documents.
- Helping the QA team to write the Acceptance criteria for the user stories.

- Managed meetings for the product requirements and general understanding of the needs and its road map.

- As a very low-budget start-up, I paved the way for the team to keep going. I managed the design meetings, and I prepared low-fidelity wireframes, user stories, and event storming beforehand. Acceptance criteria also had been written in the user stories. I managed the design with the product designer, finalized it then deliver the design to the development team.
